Sept 10: 10-12 Amigurumi Bear

Crochet Series
AMIGURUMI BEAR
(finished size is approx. 11 ½” )

Amigurumi is a
Japanese word for knitted and/or
crocheted stuffed animal.
The word is harder to say
than making this cute little fella.

You can make this simple, cute little bear in no time.

Once you learn to make the one piece head and body,
you can make it into anything by changing the colors,
the shape of the ears and perhaps adding a tail.
It is a great way to use up scraps of yarn.
It only takes a couple of ounces of a main color for the head, arms, legs
and ears and an ounce each of two
colors for the body, along with some batting to stuff him.

The entire little bear is single crochet.
You will learn to change colors, easily;
increase and decrease,
and stitching in the round.

Students need to bring a size G hook.
All other supplies are provided.
